GENERAL INFORMATION:
General Program Information:
• Allocation Tables and LTMP are up to date.
• All items on the Division's Database Program Info Sheet are correct.
General Permit Information:
• The WWTP was compliant for all pollutants except for BOD weekly average for the fifth week in April
2020. This was due to a tertiary filter failure on April 22nd. A report was made to the regional office as
required, and repairs were made as quickly as possible.
■ A review of overall removal rates for lead, copper and zinc indicates that they have significantly improved
following plant improvements. See the included LTMP data for 2020.
• A permit limit of 16 µg/L for lead daily maximum will apply in August of 2022. The POTW continues to
conduct increased monitoring for lead at the influent and the effluent.
• An effluent pollutant scan was conducted by the POTW in January of 2020, and the results were reported to
on the eDMR for that month.
SIU INFORMATION:
SIU Permit 0004
Deep River Dyeing Co., Inc.
• Scheduled self -monitoring was conducted by the industry as required by the pretreatment permit.
• Sampling and inspection by the POTW of this wastestream was also performed per the pretreatment permit.
➢ The inspection of this industry was conducted on December 10, 2020, and the industry was found to be
compliant with its IUP pretreatment requirements.
➢ The industry was compliant with the monitored permit parameters.
• The flow meter at the industry malfunctioned at the end of 2019, and the industry had some difficulty
obtaining service or a new meter due to illness of the owner/manager of the industry as well as the
pandemic. The POTW was notified. The City and the industry agreed to use the industry's water meter
flows for compliance purposes for that period of time. A new meter was installed in October of 2020.
■ Production for this industry was up and down throughout 2020 again, due to illness of the owner and the
pandemic.
• No changes were made to the IUP or the pretreatment systems for the industry.
