Replace washed out culvert section along US 64 near Bridal Veil Falls.
SUMMARY OF HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPES REVIEW
Description of review activities, results, and conclusions:
Review of HPO quad maps, HPO GIS information, historic designations roster, and indexes was
undertaken on January 22, 2021. Based on this review, there are two Study Listed Properties
within the APE, which follows the boundary of the Study Area, US 64 Highway (MA0474) and
Webbmont Historic District (MA0174).

Explanation of Effects Determination:
There will be No Adverse Effect on the US 64 Highway section with the condition that NCDOT
limits the clearing along the road to the greatest extent possible, and that the use of stone reflects
that at the site to avoid a sharp contrast between local and new.

This project will have No Adverse Effect on the Webmott Historic District under the condition
that NCDOT limits clearing along the road to the greatest extent possible and that there will be
no additional land disturbance to remove the trees at Bridal Veil Falls.

be no additional land disturbance to remove the trees at Bridal Veil Falls.
