The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is
working with partner organizations to try to establish a fully ADA
complaint canoe/kayak launch at the Sutton Lake BAA/PFA site. The
intent is to provide some additional ADA parking, an ADA access
path, and an abutment/floating dock.
No fill is expected below the OHWM. Also, the area for the proposed
abutment/dock contains the abandoned concrete ramp that was
utilized prior to the 2011 renovation that created the existing boat
launch area. The abandoned ramp has prevented fringe wetlands
from establishment.
ACOE has indicated that the project will be covered by a Regional
General Permit 56 as the lake is considered a Section 10 water.
Attached is the concept plans, photo of the area to be disturbed and
ACOE correspondence.
Please give a couple of dates you are available for a meeting.

Hey Michael,

Since Sutton Lake is considered a Section 10 water so it will require notification. You will be applying for a Regional
General Permit 56. Please fill out the PCN which can be found on our website
