U.S. 70 and Slocum Road Intersection: An off- ramp /bridge over U.S. 70 would be added to serve the current left -turn traffic from U.S. 70 to Slocum Road. The remaining signal would be revised. 2. U.S. 70 and MacDonald Boulevard Intersection: This intersection would be removed (due to the proximity to Slocum Road). A new connector road would link the neighborhood to Pine Grove Road. 3. U.S. 70 and Pine Grove Road: This intersection would be revised for improved left turn- ing movements (dual left turn lanes) from Pine Grove Road and Hickman Hill Loop Road onto US 70. 4. Slocum Road: This road would be widened to four lanes to the existing MCAS entry gate. These improvement concepts are preliminary and may change as planning, environmental and design studies develop, and input received at the upcoming public meeting is consid- ered.
