RE Wake Tech Parking Lot G - Buffer Encroachment
Raleigh North Carolina
Dear Annett Lucas
www t w t 9 m
a^ 0 1
Enclosed please find the PNC and supporting documents for buffer encroachment at
the Wake Technical North Campus - Parking Lot G in Raleigh North Carolina This
project is currently under construction for a 467 space parking lot across Fox Road
from the Northern Campus This package is for buffer encroachment of
approximately 940 square feet that occurred during construction as part of the
clearing and erosion control portion of the project In addition to the buffer the
area cleared is within the City of Raleigh Tree Conservation Area which will be
replanted per direction from the City of Raleigh
The project was permitted through NCDENR DLR for erosion control and clearing
on May 14 2012 The original design included a direct piped outlet which would
require the clearing as shown During subsequent design and permitting with the
City of Raleigh it was decided that the project would instead tie to an existing
outfall and therefore the clearing as shown in the original design drawings would
not be required
Unfortunately the contractor, using the approved erosion control plans installed
tree protection fence, silt fence and cleared the area in question before we could
issue revised design drawings and tell him to not clear the area in question We
would like to direct the contractor to re plant trees as required by the City of
Raleigh and re seed with appropriate seed mix for this disturbance
Please feel free to contact me at RHambletonCa)stewart eng com or 919 866 4819
as soon as possible as I would like to make this right
Sincerely
