Are you saying that the 809+801=1,610 is the total "future" available for the Main Campus? (This is in addition to the 1,534 in DA10.) I have listed what I believe to be the current proposal as Option #1 below and the potential to combine the 801 and 809 as Option #2. Can you confirm? I would like to get all of this in a single table so it will be easier to use in the future. I have tried to transpose the two revised tables you sent and figure out how the numbers work, but I just can't seem to balance it out. For the West Campus, I think you have 86,496sf of total impervious and you had 72,475sf of pr-1988 BUA such that if you treat the difference that would be 14,021 sf. Is that the amount that has to be treated? Yes Assuming that it is, how is that area being treated? All being treated with the permeable pavement within the drainage area (shown below) If the parking in the permeable pavement drainage areas drains to the permeable pavement (maybe?) then (3,596+1,640+3,692+2,991=11,919) that isn't enough treatment? The total area treated includes the permeable pavement (counted as 25% impervious) plus up to 100% of adjacent BUA within each drainage area (626+504+3,008+752+1,640+752+3,008+752+2,991+752=14,785). Did some of the pre-1988 get replaced by permeable pavement such that the surface of the permeable pavement is provided in lieu of the redeveloped areas such that only 25% of that area is counted? No If so, how much? Is there anything else draining to the permeable pavement? Yes see drainage area map below and as explained above. For the main campus there was 347,387sf of pre-1988. I think that some of that must have been redeveloped because 261,128+22,400+43,644=327,172 rather than 347,387sf. The total of the impervious allocation for the main campus 346,586+28,000+48,196=422,782sf. Correct The difference in the total impervious (422,782) and the existing/pre-1988 (347,387) is 75,395sf. Correct Is this the amount that has to be treated? Yes If 22,400sf of pre-1988 was replaced with permeable pavement and 48,196sf of impervious is treated by the infiltration basin that totals 70,596sf rather than 75,395sf. Also, I see that there could be "future" for the infiltration basin because it was likely built with extra capacity. Same applies to DA1 with the permeable pavement. It treats itself and adjacent BUA. (5,600+22,400+48,196) = 76,196 sf But, where does the 809sf of "future" for the Main Campus come from? I have attached the Excel file. The amount left over (809 sf) from the current proposed BUA to total the 346,586 sf allowable in this drainage area (DA1). There was more impervious removed during a previous modification than was actually constructed. I have to set a due date for the auditors. Please respond by 9/19/19. What is the square footage of the permeable gravel to be added? (I need to put that in the permit text.) 2.) Here is the data permitted previously for DAL I see that the permit text says that, "the design premise is to treat the amount of BUA that exceeds what previously existed, after considering what has been removed, what is proposed, and any BUA credit for the use of permeable pavement." Does this mean that there was 347,387sf of pre-19.88 BUA in DA1 as the pre -development condition? Why is it 349,572sf (a higher value) in the summary for the "main campus, DA1"? For DA2, I think this says that there was 72,475sf of pre-1988 BUA as the pre -development condition, and that some of it has been removed and rebuilt (72,475- 50,199=22,276sf). So, for DA2 you would have to treat the total BUA minus the 72,4750--26,433sf? I need to create a table of what was previously permitted v/s what is now proposed so that I can document the data for the permit. I suppose the parking will reduce and the "other" will increase. What is the square footage of the permeable gravel to be added? (I need to put that in the permit text.) 2.) Here is the data permitted previously for DAL I see that the permit text says that, "the design premise is to treat the amount of BUA that exceeds what previously existed, after considering what has been removed, what is proposed, and any BUA credit for the use of permeable pavement." Does this mean that there was 347,387sf of pre-1988 BUA in DA1 as the pre -development condition? Why is it 349,572sf (a higher value) in the summary for the "main campus, DA1"? For DA2, I think this says that there was 72,475sf of pre-1988 BUA as the pre - development condition, and that some of it has been removed and rebuilt (72,475-50,199=22,276sf). So, for DA2 you would have to treat the total BUA minus the 72,475sf=26,433sf? I need to create a table of what was previously permitted v/s what is now proposed so that I can document the data for the permit. I suppose the parking will reduce and the "other" will increase. Hall@ ncdenr.gov> Subject: [External] Carteret General Hospital SW8 010220 Good afternoon Christine, Carteret General Hospital is proposing a 205 sf concrete pad to house a large air hander unit for the pharmacy. I suggested they do a Minor Modification since they are also proposing gravel around the pad, which I recommended as being pervious gravel per G.S. 143-217.7(b2). There are six parking spaces (56-61) that are not going to be constructed located north of the central energy plant (see attached plan). The amount of impervious associated with these spaces is 1,054 sf. My question is if this minor modification of relocating impervious must be approved/permitted prior to the construction of the AHU. This will help determine which path to take, Standard or Express. Thank you,
