Description of Treatment Process
Class IV, 3 MGD Modified Oxidation Ditch Activated Sludge Wastewater Reclamation Facility.
Influent Pumps, Bar Screen, Grit Chamber, Treatment Basin including Anoxic & Anaerobic
Chambers w/BNR Process, three Clarifiers, Tertiary Disc Filters, Post Aeration Basin, and
Chlorine Contact Chambers with Dechlorination. One Aerobic Digester tank for digesting bio-
solids, and one Bio-Solid Holding tank for land application of bio-solid residuals.
II.Performance
Test Summary of System Performance for the Calendar Year 2020.
The Wastewater Reclamation Facility was in Compliance for Monitoring, Reporting & Permit
Limits for 2020.
Departmental Staff will continue to work diligently at eliminating any compliance issues that may
occur during 2020. If you would like any further information or a copy of this report, Contact
City Hall at 642-8046 or Newlyn McCullen/WWRF Director at 642-5818.
III.Notification
This report has been made available to users through publication in The News Reporter,which
informed that if they would like a copy, one could be obtained from City Hall or the WWRF.
IV. Certification
I certify under penalty of law that this report is complete and accurate to the best of my
knowledge. I further certify that this report has been made available to the users of
Whiteville's Wastewater Reclamation Facility and that the users have been notified of its
