The project proposes to construct a senior living facility within the
approximately 8-acre site. The site is composed of 3 individual
parcels situated west of S Main Street, south of NC-55, and north of
Ralph Stephens Road in the Town of Holly Springs, Wake County,
NC.
The site has an existing No Permit Required Concurrence Letter from
the US Army Corps of Engineers to fill the man-made, non -
jurisdictional pond in the center of the site. In addition to filling this
non -jurisdictional feature, the project proposes to impact a small
portion of a headwater wetland located along the northern boundary
of the site. It is assumed that the project will qualify for authorization
under Nationwide Permit #29. Previous buffer documentation from the
development downstream of the site indicates that there are no
Neuse River Basin buffers present within the property parcels;
however, a buffer determination will be requested prior to the permit
application submittal.
