Jim / Greg,
Below is a summary of sediment losses we had on the project due to a rain event on Friday evening. It rained close to 2”
in under an hour. Cleanup operations began today and will continue until all sites are restored to previous
condition. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
1
Permit Site 5, 815+50 -L- RT. Sediment entered rip rap outlet pad and traveled beyond project limits. Most of
the sediment came from the headwall at structure 711 washing out. Approximately 2 CY loss.
Permit Site 7, 22+00 -Y22- RT. Rain overwhelmed special sediment control fencing on both side of
JS. Approximately 0.5 CY loss.
Permit Site 7B, 815+50 -L- RT. Sediment infiltrated rip rap outlet pad. Approximately 2 CY loss.
Permit Site 8A, 850+00 -L- RT. Sediment entered RCP on LT -L-and traveled through 48” steel pipe and
infiltrated rip rap outlet pad. Approximately 3 CY loss.
Permit Site 8 & 8B, Water entered existing 18” RCP on the -L- LT and washed sediment off project limits on -L-
RT. Approximately 2 CY loss.
Permit Site 10, 18+00 -DR5- RT. Sediment entered JS by 18” RCP. Approximately 0.5 CY.
Permit Site 11A, 20+50 -Y13- RT. 57 stone washed in ditch prior to entering JS. Unsure at this time how much if
any material entered the JS. Will monitor as the water level recedes and take appropriate action.
Thanks,
Justin Knight
