Since placing measures In the stream Is not allowed without permission from the Agencies Placing two measures would give us a way to figure out where the sediment Is coming from Also how do you want us to construct the measure? Do you want us Just to place filter fabric down and then place class B rip rap and filter stone? or is there something else you had in mind? In regards to removing the sediment from the stream the Department needs clarification as to who was the contributor of the sediment, it is our opinion that the sediment deposits in question have come from the Ace /Avant property Since the contributor of the sediment Is coming upstream from the project the contractor would be due extra money to go back into this area to remove the sediment from the stream The Department and the contractor are willing to do whatever is wanted by the Division However, we Just want to know if you would like for us to add an erosion measure at the inlet end of the stream and how you want the measure constructed, and we need better clarification as to where you believe the sediment deposits came from that you want removed? Thank you for your time In this matter John Partin From Herndon, Mason Sent Tuesday, May 29, 2012 11 19 AM To Partin, John A, Blakley, Reuben, Olinger, John R, King, Art C, Davis, Vickie G, Ronnie D Smith @usace army mil, Harrington, Barry W, Whitaker, Kelly K , Henson, Belinda, Euless, Amy, Wainwright, David, Carrillo, Sonia, Basinger, Corey Subject R 2606B May 22nd Site Visit John attached is a follow up to our site visit to R 2606B (NC 311 project) in Randolph County on May 22 2012 Please let me when all correctives actions have been completed so I can schedule a follow up visit This electronic copy will serve as your only notification no hard copies will be distributed If you have any questions please feel free to contact me Thanks' MH Mason Herndon Environmental Senior Specialist NCDENR Division of Water Quality Surface Water Protection mason herndon @ncdenr gov Phone (910) 308 4021 E mail correspondence to and from this address may be subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law and may be disclosed to third parties https //mail nc gov /owa/ ?ae= Item &t =IPM Note &id= RgAAAADMSzLcd9W2TJHI4 %2bm 6/19/2012 RE R 2606B May 22nd Site Visit Email correspondence to and from this sender is subject to the N C Public Records Law and may be disclosed to third parties Page 3 of 3 https //mail nc gov /owa/9ae= Item &t =IPM Note &id= RgAAAADMSzLcd9W2TJHI4 %2bm 6/19/2012
