Khan North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality 610 East Center Ave Suite 301 Mooresville, NC 28115 February 18, 2021 Dear Sir: Regarding the Notice of Violation NOV-2021-PC-0025 I have been in contact with Lily Kay as I am a little confused if we are under the right permit. We are a distribution center, not a metal fabricator. Ms. Kay has been kind enough to help assist me to ensure we are indeed under the right permit or if we need to see about moving to a Transit and Transport permit. In effort to explain the failure, we had a personnel change back in 2016. Unfortunately, the transfer of knowledge didn't happen. I apologize for the error and I will work to get everything corrected and submitted to you in the 60 days as required. Regarding the analytical testing, I have all the tests that we have had since 2014. It appears we have only been doing it once a year. I will go online and submit the testing that we have as required no later than tomorrow 2/19/21. We will work with Pace analytical on the semi-annual testing. They are sending a quote to do the testing for us, so we do not get behind in the future. The annual permit should be paid by ACH transfer no later than 2/19/21. I assure you this has priority attention and we will bring everything up to code Yours sincerely , Cheryl Garretson SHEQ Coordinator Atlas Copco Compressor North American Service Center Atlas Copco Compressors North American Service Center 11313 Steele Creek Rd Tel.: 1.704.504.6963 Charlotte, NC 28273 Email: Cheryl.garretson@atlascopco.com w .atlascooco.com
