Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spam. Ori, As described on the phone earlier, a small spill of chlorinated reuse water entered the storm drain at Long Creek WWTP late on 2/16/21. The Long Creek WWTP has recycled reuse water pumped from the chlorine contact basin that serves as the plant water source. Late on 2/16/21, a small hose from the reuse water system used at the primary clarifiers fell from the clarifier and leaked onto the ground. In total about 50 gallons of reuse water hit the ground. Of this, about 5 gallons entered a storm drain onsite. Staff identified the issue and immediately turned the hose off and put down straw and lime. The Wastewater Treatment Division has a written procedure that addresses methods to reduce the likelihood of reuse water spills by securing hoses and ensuring hydrants not in active use are off at all times. All operations staff are being retrained on the procedure to prevent reoccurrence. If there are any further questions please contact me at your convenience. Thanks, Kevin Graves Asst.
