Subject Correction to 401 Water Quality Certification for R 2583 (US 158 from the Murfreesboro Bypass to US 13 near
Winton) m Hertford County DWQ Project No 20111075

Dear Dr Thorpe
This letter is in regards to the 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC) issued on January 19 2012 for US 158 m Hertford
County (DWQ Project No 20111075) Condition No 3 of the WQC issued on January 19 2012 contains the following
language
The permittee will need to adhere to all appropriate m water work moratoria (including the use of pile driving or
vibration techniques) prescribed by the National Marine Fisheries Service and the North Carolina Division of Marine
Fisheries No in water work is permitted between February 15 and June 30 of any year without prior approval from the
NC Division of Water Quality the National Marine Fisheries Service and the North Carolina Division of Marine
Fisheries In addition the permittee shall conform to the NCDOT policy entitled Stream Crossing Guidelines for
Anadromous Fish Passage (dated May 12 1997) at all times
This language is hereby corrected to read as follows
