(20120398) So I have reviewed the Moores Fork plan. Some things missing from the plan. A site location map would have been nice to show the location of the site in Surry County. Everyone else always includes a USGS map in their plans. Table 4 shows what type of activities are being conducted by tributary /reach, but I would also like to see a site plan showing proposed activities on each tributary; most plans include a color -coded site plan which shows where restoration, enhancement I, etc. are occurring. Very useful during a site visit. The credit ratios are a little aggressive for some of the reaches. The designer includes some justification on Page 19, but 1:1 for Enhancement I is a little much. As far as performance standards, <20% invasives by aerial extent is proposed. If the site has 19% coverage by invasive species, we are going to have a problem with that. I could not find a planting plan or species lists anywhere in the document. I know you had questions /issues related to some of the things you saw on -site (silage trio ? ?). If you want to discuss, I am out of the office tomorrow and have meetings all day Wednesday, but I will be around Thursday. Since my office phone doesn't work (not sure if we are going to bother with it since we are moving Monday), call my cell at (919) 621 -1044. We need to enter comments soon, the comments close on 5/10/12 (Thursday). Let me know if you have not gotten access to the portal yet. I'm out this afternoon through Tues. so by then will be fine. I might be able to answer some of your questions from doing the site visit. Although I still have comments about the project.
