NOTICE OF CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOPS
FOR THE PROPOSED WIDENING OF U S 158
FROM U S 421 /INTERSTATE 40 BUSINESS IN WINSTON SALEM TO U S 220
WBS No 37405 R 2577 Forsyth Guilford Counties
The North Carolina Department of Transportation ( NCDOT) will hold two
citizens informational workshops regarding a proposed project to widen U S 158 to
a multi lane roadway from U S 421 /Interstate 40 Business in Winston Salem to
U S 220 in Guilford County The previous project workshops were held in 2006
These US 158 improvement workshops will provide updated project information
and allow the public to view potential study corridors for the Stokesdale Bypass
NCDOT representatives will provide information and answer questions from 4 7
p m at the following locations
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Stokesdale Town Hall, 8325 Angel Pardue
Road, Stokesdale
Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Walkertown Middle /High School, 5240
Sullivantown Road, Walkertown
Some local intersecting roads on the project include Belews Creek Road
(State Road 1965) Old Flatrock Road (S R 2011) Rail Fence Road (S R 2009)
Goodwill Church Road (S R 1971) Kernersville Road (S R 1962) Piney Grove
Road (S R 1969) N C 66 N C 65 and N C 68
The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided during the
workshop Interested citizens may attend at any time during the above hours
Citizens are invited to attend either workshop There will not be a formal
presentation and the same information will be available at both workshops
