SUBJECT: Wastewater Treatment Facility Effluent Data Review
NPDES Permit No. NC0026352
Town of Bladenboro WWTP
Bladen County
Dear Mr. Jackson:
A data review has been conducted of the Town of Bladenboro (Town) wastewater treatment
facility effluent data. This review centered around values submitted for mercury as submitted on.
Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) and laboratory reports provided by Mr. Lynn Brisson of
your staff. The review revealed several items that should be addressed in order for the Division of
Water Quality to have accurate data required by your NPDES permit.
Attached please find review information noting required action where needed. Please submit
revised DMRs and information as noted by March 15, 2011. Also it is strongly suggested that you
perform a quality assurance check of all effluent data for the entire permit cycle (September 2004
to present) to ensure that DMRs are accurate. If during your review you discover other reporting
anomalies please provide revised DMRs to this office on or before March 15, 2011.
If you or your staff has questions or comments regarding this matter please do not hesitate to
contact me at (910) 433-3300.
Sincerely,
Paul E. Rawls
Environmental Program Consultant
