On February 3 2012 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated February 2 2012 to
fill or otherwise impact 1 331 square feet of Zone 2 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffers for a walking
trail The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and /or provided inaccurate information as
discussed below The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact
protected buffers on the subject property Therefore unless we receive three copies of the additional information
requested below we will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information If
we do not receive the requested information your project will be formally returned as incomplete Please provide
the following information so that we may continue to review your project

According to the Soil Survey of Wake County the project will cross two mapped streams However only
one stream is depicted on your plans Has DWQ conducted buffer determinations for the stream that you
excluded on your plans9 If so please provide a copy of this information If not please contact Lauren
Witherspoon [[phone] ] to schedule a time to conduct a buffer determination
2 At the location noted in Item (1) you propose to install a RCP with dissipater pad If this is /has been
determined to be a stream you will be required to secure a 401 Water Quality Certification
Please provide a plan sheet showing the existing stormwater outfall discharging southeast of West Chatham
Street at approximately 17 +50 In addition please provide a full sized plan sheet that shows the conveyance
into which the outfall discharges Please show the conveyance between where the outfall occurs and where it
discharges to the receiving stream
