Typical Cross Section Description: 2-lane undivided 2-lane undivided Annual Avg Daily Traffic(veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 4900 Year:2040 Existing: 4100 Year: 2020 General Project Narrative: B-4407 involves the replacement of the existing bridge 70 on US-52 over Rocky River and 0.65 miles of roadway improvements.The existing typical section is a 2-lane (Description of Minimization of Water undivided facility consisting of 12-foot travel lanes. The proposed typical section retains the 2-lane facility with a new alignment to allow the construction of the new bridge while Quality Impacts) maintaining the existing. Jurisdictional features including wetlands and a crossing of Rocky River are present within project limits. The proposed roadway improvements will require ditch realignment and the addition of new drainage systems to convey runoff at the ends of the proposed bridge. Rip Rap pads were used at pipes outlets throughout the project to reduce water velocities into wetlands and jurisdictional streams. The Sediment and Erosion Control Plan for B-4407 has been designed using Design Standards for Sensitive Watersheds(DSSW)criteria for jurisdictional streams flowing into the Yadkin-Pee Dee. DSSW designation requires special procedures to be followed for construction activities within 50'of each designated stream.Post Construction Stormwater Program will be implemented throughout B-4407 to the maximum extent practical.
