This permit is for the Wilmington Trade Center. There are three (3) separate buildings with three (3) separate duplex private grinder pump stations that will tie in to the existing 6" Public Low Pressure Forcemain that is on the West side of US Hwy. 421. This forcemain belongs to the CFPUA. PS #1:157,500 SF Warehouse & Office Space ADF = 6,950 GPD; PDF = 17,375 GPD PS #2:157,500 SF Warehouse & Office Space ADF = 6,950 GPD; PDF = 17,375 GPD PS #3:110,250 SF Warehouse & Office Space ADF = 4,900 GPD; PDF = 12,250 GPD Each Private Pump Station will consist of a 6-foot diameter wet well, discharge piping, valve vault, and required electrical panel and controls. The pump station reliability of the station is per 15A NCAC 02T .0305 (h)(1)(C). A portable pump power source shall be dedicated to backup of this station. A letter will be provided that the portable source of power is owned or contracted for by the permittee and is compatible with the station. Telemetry is provided at the station with remote notification if a power outage or problem occurs. A high-water audio and visual alarm are provided. The downstream forcemain size is 6". We are having to directional drill under US 421 with a 4" forcemain. We are able to maintain 2 fps in the 4" forcemain. The 6" forcemain is a Low Pressure forcemain designed to accommodate multiple Pump Stations from along the 421 corridor. There will be Private forcemain and Public forcemain in this permit. Private Forcemain Lengths: 3" — 1892 ft 4" — 354 ft Public Forcemain Lengths: 4" — 130 ft 6"-39ft There are multiple conditions that occur for each pump station. Each of these pump stations must be able to maintain 2 fps in the forcemain immediately downstream from the pump station and overcome any Pump Stations that may also be on during operation. PS #1 must be able to maintain 2 fps in the 4" forcemain. With that in mind, each pump station will pump well above their required peak, in the predominant condition. The MDC requires if practical, a minimum of two (2) cycles per hour. Due to the ADF, the duplex pump / wet well requirements and the minimum FM requirements it is not practical to meet the two (2) cycles per hour requirement. This system will be served by the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority. Mgr certify to the best of my knowledge that the addition of the volume of wastewater to be permitted in this project has been evaluated along the route to the receiving wastewater treatment facility and that the flow from this project is not anticipated to cause any capacity related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station en route to the receiving treatment plant under normal circumstances, given the implementation of the planned improvements identified in the planning assessment where applicable. This analysis has been performed in accordance with local established policies and procedures using the best available data. This certification applies to those items listed above in Sections I and II plus all attached planning assessment addendums for which I am the responsible party. Signature of this form certifies that the receiving collection system or treatment works has adequate capacity to transport and treat the proposed new wastewater.
