TIER 3 Notification
Mr. Aiken,
In accordance with Part II, Section B, Tier 3 Notification in the above -referenced
stormwater permit, American Zinc Products, LLC (AZP) is hereby providing timely
notification to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) that
analytical results for stormwater samples at Outfall SDO-01 exceeded benchmark values
on four occasions.
Results for samples collected on October 28, 2020, which were received from the third -
party analytical laboratory on November 5, 2020, indicated concentrations of cadmium,
lead, and zinc exceeded benchmark values noted in the permit.
