The annual 2020 biosolids report for this year has no biosolids given to farmers. All the
solids produced at the plant were landfilled at the White Oak landfill. Our anaerobic digester
was taken out of service in late 2018. It was emptied and the lid was removed. We are in the
process of converting it into an aerobic digester. Waiting on engineering and funding.

The Town of Waynesville Waste Water Treatment Plant has not produced any Class A
Biosolid Product that is given away for land application. The anaerobic digester has been
off line since October 2018. The Town of Waynesville has landfilled the Sludge within the
anaerobic digester and what has came into the plant. The anaerobic digester was finished
emptying 7/15/2020. The solids landfilled for the year was 2,656.88 tons. The percent
solids average for all landfilled was 20%. That means -531.4 tons of solids. The rest was
water weight. All of the solids was trucked to the White Oak landfill in Haywood County.
All dump tickets are on file at the plant.
Certification Statement
"I certify under penalty of law that all the biosolids for the Town of Waynesville WWTP
have been landfilled at the White Oak Landfill in Haywood County. This determination
has been made under my direction and supervision in accordance with the system designed
to ensure that qualified personnel properly gather and evaluate the information used to
determine that the pathogen requirements and vector attraction reduction requirements
have been met. I am aware that there are significant penalties for false certification
including the possibility of fine and imprisonment.
