Remediation Site
The North Carolina Environmental Management
Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater
discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Writ-
ten Comments regarding the proposed permit wilt be
accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this
notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Re-
sources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should
there be a significant degree of public interest.
Please mail comments and/or information requests
to DWR at the above address. Interested persons
may visit the DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Ra-
leigh, NC 27604 to review information on file. Addi-
fional information on NPDES permits and this notice
may be found on our websfte:

Textron Inc. (40 Westminster St., Providence, RI
02903) requested renewal of NPDES permit
NCO084662 for its groundwater remediation facility
located at 3800 Little Mountain Road, Gastonia, Gas-
ton County. This permitted facility discharges treated
wastewater to a UT to Crowders Creek in the Ca-
tawba River Basin. Currently the parameter pH is
water -quality limited. This discharje rm-y affect fu-
ture wasteload dlVocati^lk to 3'ris portion of the Ca-
tawba River Basin.
