PO Box 4000 175 Main Street Canton,NC 28716 The existing 5-year permit expires midnight April 30,2005. As required,(1)a request for renewal is being made at least 180 days before expiration and(2)the Supplemental Information Required For Renewal Of Individual NPDES Stormwater Permit is included. The conditions of the existing permit are still representative of the mill properties and outfalls:Attached is APPENDIX A from the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan(SPPP)listing all existing outfalls. J Also attached is documentation for each outfall change since the existing permit was issued. Outfall Changes Since the Initial Permit Was Issued: (The SPPP was modified for each change) (1)Outfall No. 6-5 at landfill No.6 was eliminated after the activation of the 6A-West Cell. On May 6,2003,prior to the active use of 6A-West cell, one-half the.cell area was diverted to the Leachate collection system. On May 20,2004 the remaining cell area was also diverted to the Leachate system,thereby eliminating Outfall 6-5. (2) On October 15,2003 a new outfall 6-17 was added at landfill No. 6 due to the closing and capping of the 6A-East cell.A letter of notice was issued to NCDENR with request for Outfalls 6-2 and 64 to continue to have representative status for the added outfall. (3)On October 15,2003 the area of drainage for Outfalls 6-2 and 6-9 at No.6 landfill were increased as the result of closing and capping 6A-East cell.This area previously went to the leachate collection system. (4)On May 6,2004 a new outfall was established at the No.6 landfill where road drainage occurs.A letter of notice was issued to NCDENR with request for Outfalls 6-2 and 6-4 to continue to have representative status for the added outfall.
