Dear Mr. Carr:
On December 15, 2020 the City of Greensboro Stormwater Management Division completed an
industrial compliance inspection of Precision Fabrics. Local regulations permit an inspection of
industrial facilities under authority granted by City of Greensboro Code of Ordinance Chapter 30, Article
12, Section 7.1 (C-5). This inspection consisted of two parts: a review of the facility files/records and an
on -site facility inspection.
The inspection was performed by Debbie Shoffner, and the following deficiencies/observations were
noted during the inspection.
Storm water Pollution Prevention Plan/Spill Plan Review
Site Maps and SWP3
• The site map(s) is missing key elements, such as industrial activity areas, topography,
drainage area boundaries, general labels, etc. (See Part II, Section A, 1 a and 1 c for
specifics.) Current map is kept separate from the plan but should be included with the plan.
• There is no signed certification for annual evaluation of non-stormwater discharge.
• There is no documentation indicating procedures and releases of secondary containment.
Spill Prevention and Response Plan
• No deficiencies observed.
Monitoring
• No deficiencies observed.
Employee Training
• There is currently no training that addresses stormwater discharge prohibitions, spill
response procedures, general housekeeping procedures, etc.

Preventative Maintenance/Good Housekeeping
• Materials/equipment are exposed to stormwater runoff as follows:
o Scrap metal, pallets, rusted supplies in N/NE area (toward outfall 3)
o Rusting metal bins/other in holding area near north side of building
• There are no procedures in place for the release of secondary containment.
Non-Stormwater Discharges
• Outfall 4 is not directly visible nor accessible.
It is recommended that Precision Fabrics take appropriate actions to correct the noted deficiencies. If
