Comment: All sand dredaina at the location aDDroved in the oriainal Dermit has been discontinued and
that site will no longer be used for sand dredginq. Mr. Thompson indicated the he plans on
resuming dredging in adifrrent location in the future. Such being the case, there were no
sand dredging activities occuring under this permit at the present time. Mr. Thompson was
advised to submit a revised -permit application indicating the street address and/or location
of where he planned to dredge sand in the future. Mr. Thompson indicated that it may be
several months before he initiated sand dredging again, but that he would submit the
necessary information prior to commencement.

The intent of this inspection/site visit was to ascertain the compliance of the subject facility with their
NPDES Permit. In a meeting with the owner at his business (Mr. J. L. Thompson), it was learned that
all sand dredging at the location approved in the original permit has been discontinued and that site will
no longer be used for sand dredging under the terms of this permit. Mr. Thompson informed the writer
that a new sand dredging location had been obtained, but access and equipment mobilization to the
new site had not yet begun. Such being the case, there were no sand dredgingactivities, occuring
under this permit at the present time. Mr. Thompson was advised to submit a revised permit .
application indicating the street address and/or location of where he planned to dredge sand in the
future. Mr. Thompson indicated that it may be several months before he initiated sand dredging again,
but that he would submit the necessary information prior to commencement.
