In connection with this requirement, please fmd enclosed a current site plan for the Project with impervious surface area calculations. As you will see, the projected impervious surface area for the entire project will be 11.65% of the total Project area. There are, however, three concentrated areas of development in the village center around Diamond Lake that individually and collectively have impervious surface areas of approximately 60%. The impervious area of the remainder of the Project, excluding these areas of concentrated development is approximately 11%. In light of the foregoing, COP will prepare a detailed stormwater management plan for the areas of concentrated development that complies with the requirements of the 401 certification and will obtain DWQ's approval of that plan before commencing any construction work in those areas. Please be advised that, as with all large developments, it is possible that modifications to the development plan for the Project will be made over time. While it is inconceivable that the impervious surface for the entire Project will ever approach 30%, should additional areas of concentrated development be planned in the future, COP will develop, and obtain DWQ's approval of, stormwater management plans for such areas. 210 Shad Lane Apex, North Carolina 27523 Ms. Cyndi Karoly March 8, 2006 Page 2 of 2 If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
