Dear Mr. McLamb:
The Wilmington Regional Office received a Sedimentation and
Erosion Control Plan for Suitangi Country Club on January 21,
1992. Based on our review of the project plans and
specifications, we have determined that the total built upon area
is less than 1 acre and therefore complies with the Stormwater
Regulations set forth in Title 15A NCAC 2H.1003(a)-(3). No
additions of impervious surface (sidewalks, outbuildings, etc.)
will be built other than that which is shown on the plans
submitted and approved by this Office.
This Certification shall be effective from the date of
issuance until rescinded and the project shall be constructed and
maintained in accordance with the plans and specifications
subsequently filed with the Wilmington Regional Office.

On January 21, 1991, the Wilmington Regional Office received
a copy of a Sedimentation and Erosion Control Plan for the site
of the former Suitangi Country Club. To -date however, this
Office has not received a submittal concerning stormwater
management for the subject project.
Please be aware that any site which requires either a
Sedimentation and Erosion Control Plan or a CAMA Major permit
will also require a Certification of Stormwater Exemption or
Approval by The Division of Environmental Management. Any
construction on such a site, prior to receipt of the required
Certification, will constitute a violation of 15A NCAC 2H. 1003
and will result in appropriate enforcement by this office.
A stormwater submittal must be received by this Office no
later than February 21, 1992, or the subject file will be closed
and construction may experience subsequent delay.

Enclosed are two (2) copies of the Sedimentation and Erosion Control
Plan for the construction of 6,300 LF of new ditches on a site formerly
known as Suitangi Country Club. Also enclosed are the Financial
Responsibility/Ownership Form, $110 application fee, and two (2) copies
each of specifications and calculations.
The new ditches are located throughout the site and interconnect
several existing lakes. These lakes w.i.11 serve as sediment settling and
storage basins until the new ditches have been stabilI.zed.
The excavation process will impact an area approximately 30 feet in
width. The total area to be disturbed is calculated to be 4.3 acres.
Please review this plan as soon as possible.
