The pond surface area, the depth and the outlet structures are all remaining unchanged. The pond length has been changed to account for the increased surface area. Two expansion turns in the steam line are being relocated on the eastern side of the pond, and the pond contours in this area are being straightened. Again, the pond overall length has been adjusted to keep the exact same surface area and volume. We have also specified that the earthen barriers for the forebays be lined with rip rap. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune has indicated that these earthen structures often wash out and require maintenance. We have added the rip rap to the typical cross section of the pond and forebay. 1 +V'c;ur assistance with this project is appreciated.
