Zimmer, Administrator Zimmer Commercial Properties, LLC 111 Princess Street Wilmington, NC 28401 Dear Mr. Zimmer. Alan W. Klimek, P.E., Director Division of Water Quality Wilmington Regional Office February 27, 2003 Subject: REQUEST FORADDITIONAL INFORMATION Stormwater Project No. SW8 021225 Family Dollar Shipyard Plaza - New Hanover County The Wilmington Regional Office received a Stormwater Management Permit Application for Family Dollar Shipyard Plaza on December 20, 2002. A preliminary review of that information has determined that the application is not complete. The following information is needed to continue the stormwater review: l . Please either delineate all wetlands on site, disturbed or undisturbed, or note on the plans that none exist. 2. Please provide the property line bearings and distances on the plan. 3. Please report the surface areas at the bottom and storage elevations in the calculations so that the volume provided can be verified. 4. Please provide a complete soils report which estimates the Seasonal High Water Table elevation, and which shows the boring locations, and estimates the expected infiltration rate. 5. Please add the nearest intersection of two major roads to a legible vicinity map. A major road is any 1, 2 or 3 digit NC, US or interstate highway. 5. Please provide the outlet structure detail on the plans. 7. Please show all dimensions to include the bottom of the infiltration basin, the parking areas, sidewalks and building. 8. Please delineate the drainage area to the proposed system. 9. Please report the actual amount of runoff that the basin will hold on the supplement. This basin is intended to hold approximately twice the required design storm, therefore, a vegetated filter will not be required. 10. Please relocate the drainage break of the access road closer to Shipyard Boulevard. Currently, there is about 3,100 ftz of impervious area that is graded to drain into Shipyard Boulevard, and will not be treated. There appears to be sufficient grade to achieve this without undue hardship. VDW NCDENR . N.C.
