You may have to coordinate with State agencies (Division of Water Resources) for a buffer authorization. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks, April April R. The permanent impacts include a proposed sidewalk, tubular fence, pedestrian ramp, trench drain, riprap, guardrail, and proposed grading. To minimize land disturbance the sidewalk width was narrowed to 4' wide in the section along the existing culvert with tie in slopes at 3:1 to 2:1. The temporary impacts are related to erosion control which include the use of silt fences, silt fence outlets, wattles, and inlet protection. The Limit of Disturbance line (LOD) shows the proposed boundary of the proposed land disturbing activities. There are no impacts proposed to the stream channel, I've included an updated sheet of University Drive, the only section of the project impacting riparian buffers, with the channel adjusted to better illustrate where the open channel enters a culvert with the existing headwall labeled. Let me know if this is the information needed or if additional information is needed. The project we are working on involves construction of sidewalks in four locations throughout Durham. Of these four locations, one project does cross stream buffers of an unnamed stream though part of the stream that runs thru a culvert shown in sheets in the link provide below. NRCS soils maps are also included for all four sections of sidewalk. The photos were taken when the state was replacing an existing culvert at this time construction has concluded, let me know if more current photos are needed. The photos attached are looking at the downstream culvert, the rest of the stream is piped underneath existing structures, please see snapshot below. The open channel upstream is on private property and will not be impacted by the proposed sidewalk section. Can you look over the files and either confirm that it is a non?reporting Nationwide Permit 14 for Linear Transportation Project or let us know if we need to submit a different application related to the 401?404 permit process? Let me know if you have any issues with the attached/included information or if anything else is needed from us. 401-404 https://outlook.office365.com/mail/search/id/AAQkADUxMGFiMzZmLTgwODgtNGM4NyO4NWEOLWIOYzhjNDBmYzVmNwAQANB3vXTi7FxMglsZpTh... 2/3 IFAF"l Mail - Zelaya, Kevin - Outlook ism 49 49605 19375 ► - . ;. .at.Jeae 1373 i936B 07904 i 0792A 07j426 19367 07008 ka90-f* `'17ts ^! - 07M * mole litr.496i1 + ' ' N 49613 49 49596 411S07 soon 162711 i 02491' ww Woo1D1 0249 -%.—. 42T10 0248 02 19 Thank you & Happy Holidays Kevin Maya, PE Senior Engineer Public Works Department, City of Durham Engineering Design Services 101 City Hall Plaza Durham, NC 27701 P .(919)560-4326 Ext 30213 Kevin.Zelaya@durhamnc.gov https://outlook.office365.com/mail/search/id/AAQkADUxMGFiMzZmLTgwODgtNGM4NyO4NWEOLWIOYzhjNDBmYzVmNwAQANB3vXTi7FxMglsZpTh... 3/3
