On January 8, 2018, Brian Lambe from the Wilmington Regional Office of the Division of Energy, Mineral,
and Land Resources (DEMLR), met with you regarding permitting for Harley Road LLC facility located in
Harley Road, New Hanover County, North Carolina. The site drains to an unnamed tributary to Spring
Branch and Smith Creek, which is currently classified as Class C, Sw Waters in the Cape Fear River Basin.
The previous inspection stated, "The site is conducting actions associated with SIC code 5015 Used
Motor Vehicle Parts and 5093 Automobile Wrecking for Scrap. The site is unpermitted." However, you
stated that no vehicle is scraped on site and the site is used for storage of vehicles. The vehicles will be
moved when sold for scrap.
No permit is required For this site if you do not meet the classification of SIC codes 5015 and 5093. This
does not absolve you from liability of any possible water quality violations stemming from your
property. Steps should be taken to prevent any pollution such as removal of 55 gallon drums and
elimination of potential oil spills or leaks. Any chemicals should be clearly labeled and kept under cover.
