After a site visit conducted on January 25, 2021 at the requested location, here is the jurisdictional
determination:
Culvert Replacement – SR 1100 (Bayview Road), Stumpy Point, Dare County (35.70147° / -75.74363°):
CAMA non-jurisdictional at the culvert crossing or 75’ within the canal/ditch at the crossing. (No
CAMA Permit Required).
Please consult with any other local, state or federal agencies that may require a permit or authorization before
project initiation. Thanks and please contact me for further discussion or if I can provide anymore assistance.

Subject: JD Call for Proposed Pipe Replacement on SR 1100 Bayview Road
Greg:
NCDOT is preparing to replace a 24” culvert on SR 1100 Bayview Road in Stumpy Point, Dare County. Please see the
attached map for the location and please let me know if a CAMA/Dredge and Fill permit will be required. NCDOT is also
preparing to place riprap along the road shoulder on US 264 just south of the fishhouse where the guard rail starts
adjacent Stumpy Point bay. This will take a CAMA/Dredge and Fill permit. I am preparing that package but wanted to
let you know so you could visit both sites when you are in the area. I am also available to meet you down there. Also, I
would like to arrange to meet you to obtain the GP .1700 for Bridge 17 in Camden County. I will send you the GP
package for Camden Bridge 17 under a separate email. Thanks Greg, hope your day is going well.
