The Wilmington Regional Office has reviewed the Environmental Assessment (EA) document for the
proposed alignment for the replacement bridge to Surf City (Bridge No 16) The DWQ supports the low
rise and mid -rise alternative bridges (Alternatives 6 & 7) These two proposed replacements propose the
least amount of wetland impacts and preserves the "vista" of a small community like Surf City
