Wednesday morning at 9:30 works for us. Have you been to the RTP facility before? Let me know if you need
directions. When you arrive, they will stop you at the gate and ask for a government issued ID and issue you a parking
pass. We will meet you in the main lobby where you will sign in and get a visitors pass.
We do not currently have a stormwater permit.

Thank you for getting back with me. Unfortunately, this Friday will not work for us, as we are finishing up our
mandatory furlough days this week. Would you be available Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of next week?
Most of the questions/concerns we have are related to our coal storage area, storage of equipment outdoors and how
our TSD permit affects the requirements for stormwater permitting (the TSD permit is shared with NIEHS).

Met representatives from the EPA at the RTP facility for a site inspection
concerning Stormwater Permittting and the possibility of No Exposure
Certification. They did not have a request in to the central office. The
inspection was extensive as the site was very large. Difficiencies
included: 1) Different types of metal was being stored outside of the
facility- stormwater drained to a stormwater pond, 2) Uncovered C & D
Dumpster needs permanent cover during construction activites -
stormwater to lake. 3) Coal Dust at test area is being transported
through stormwater probably to the large lake on site. These issues
would have to be resolved before any NE would be approved. At this
point, a permit would be the avenue to approach.
