THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF THE JULY 2006 NCDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROADS AND
STRUCTURES.
ALL DEMOLITION SHALL BE APPROVED BY CITY OF RALEIGH INSPECTIONS DEPARTMENT,
ALL DEMOLITION AND SUBSEQUENT CONSTRUCTION TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PERMITS ISSUED AND

TRAIL OR 14 DRYS, WHICHEVER IS SHORTER. THE CONTRACTOR CANNOT EXCEED 2,000 LF OF
DISTURBED AREA WITHOUT TEMPORARY SEEDING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE TEMPORARY SEEDING
ON ALL DISTURBED AREAS THAT WILL BE IDLE 14 DAYS OR LONGER,
10. INSTALL STORM SEWER SYSTEMS AND CULVERTS AND PROTECT INLETS WITH INLET PROTECTION,
INSTALL CULVERTS IN JURISDICTIONAL AREAS ACCORDING TO NCDOT BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES MANUAL, CULVERT INSTALLATIONS IN STREAMS WILL
REQUIRE DEWATERING BY USE Of COFFER DAMSIIMPERVIOUS DIKES AND PUMPS TO MAINTAIN WATER
QUALITY STANDARDS, PER DETAIL ON SHEET 2C. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH EROSION CONTROL

PARTICLES OR OTHER FOREIGN SUBSTANCES, S ALL BE USED TO FILL THE BAGS. THE COFFERDAM
SHA L BE ENTIRELY REMOVED IMMEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION OF WORK, DURING PERIODS OF WORK
ACTIVITY, FLOW IMMEDIATELY DOWNSTREAM OF THE WORKSITE SHALL EQUAL FLOW IMMEDIATELY
UPSTREAM OF THE WORKSITE, ALL OTHER OPTIONS WILL NEED PRIOR APPROVAL, SEE SHEET 2D FOR

BE INSTALLED FOR ALL AREAS AT FINAL GRADE AND IN SEASON, FERTILIZE, WATER AND RESEED RS

13, AFTER COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION AND THE SITE IS STABILIZED, REMOVE ALL ACCUMULATED
SEDIMENT FROM SEDIMENT TRAPPING MEASURES AND SPREAD EVENLY ACROSS THE SITE. THEN REMOVE
