You have our appiov it in accordance with the conditions listed below for the following impacts for the purpose of the ernergency
stabilization of New Inlet This modification approves the dredging of approximately 9,000 toll 1,000 cubic yards of sand over 1 3
acres and the subsequent tilling of approximately 0 76 acres of open water along with the temporary placement of sheet pile rip rap
uid sandbags as necessary for the protection of the temporary bridge over New Inlet on NC 12 in Dare County In addition this
certification %ithori7es the dredging of approximately 450 cubic y-irds of sand from the inlet swash Lone as needed for the filling of
the sand b igs
The project shall be constructed in accoidance with your application received by e mail on January 17 2012 All the authorized
activities and conditions associated with the original Water Quality Certific ition dated September 2 2011 and all subsequent
modifications still apply except where superceded by this certification After revieyimg your application we hive decided that these
impacts are covered by General Water Quality Certification Number 3685 1 his certification corresponds to the Nationwide Permit 45
issued by the Corps of Engineers In addition you should acquire any other federal state or local permits before you proceed with
your project including (but not limited to) Sediment and Erosion Control Non Discharge and Water Supply Watershed regulations
Ihis approval will expire with the accompanying 404 permit
[ his approval is valid solely for the purpose and design described in your application (unless modified below) Should your project
change you must notify the DWQ and submit a new application it the property is sold the new owner must be given a copy of this
Certification and approval letter and is thereby responsible for complying with all the conditions If total wetland fills for this project
(now or to the future) exceed one acre or of total impacts to streams (now or in the future) exceed 150 linear feet compensatory
mitigation may be required as described in 15A NCAC 2H 0506 (h) (6) and (7) 1 or this approval to remain valid you must adhcrc to
the conditions listed in the attached certification
