The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit W00018755. Joel Mingus and Kirkland Fields were present during the inspection. Castle Bay WWTF is a 100,000 GPD extended aeration treatment plant with teriary filters that produces reclaimed quality effluent. Disposal consists of the dedicated Castle Bay Golf Course site. Currently, the flow averages—25,000 to 35,000 GPD. The dirt road leading to the plant is in poor condition, especially when it rains. Aqua is planning on repairing the road in the near future. The golf course staff maintains records tracking the amount of reclaimed water irrigated on the golf course. Currently, Aqua does not have a system to confirm these application rates. It was discussed during the last inspection that the addition of a flowmeter measuring the water taken from the storage pond for irrigation purposes as being a starting point for this application confirmation. A flowmeter has been added into the 3-year capital improvement budget and Aqua is working towards installation. The facility is compliant with non -discharge permit W00018755.
