Re: New Application for Seawall
Dear Ms Chapman,
My wife and I are getting ready to have our contractor start the construction of a
boathouse on our property at Lake Royale. We have received a permit from the
Division of Water Quality for this boathouse (Project #06-1965). The application
package included with this letter is for the construction of a seawall that will be
installed at the same time as the boathouse is built. We believe that this seawall
is necessary to protect our property as there are signs of active erosion in the
cove where our lot is located. We have included two pictures which clearly show
erosion. Our concern is that without the protection of a seawall it is only a matter
of time until our lot begins to erode as well. Waiting until then to correct the
problem will only result in a much higher cost and risk of damage to the natural
buffer area.
We believe the included application and supporting materials are complete. We
have also included five copies of the application package as we were told by our
contractor that this is required. If there is any information missing, please do not
