The requirements of subject permit have been met; Le., the pie has been installed and
the wetland properly filled.
On December 14, 2011, we met in Raleigh with the Water Quality Engineer to discuss the
use of a different parking lot configuration; one which had been approved by the NCDOT Right of
Way Section in my settlement with the State; and, the same one now being considered by the
Town of Boone. This drawing was prepared by Municipal Engineering, Inc. and dated 7- 14 -10.
The Town has further asked about future intentions and therefore a building is also added to the
analysis.
The following question was asked at that meeting. "is the proposed impervious surface
greater than the impervious surface removed form the properties being used."
In response, An analysis of the impervious surfaces which existed on the properties prior
to construction and the proposed impervious surfaces to be constructed on parcels 17, 18, 20, 21,
and 22, shows the following:
The impervious surfaces which existed In parking lots, sidewalks, and buildings are:
Parcel Number 17--- -4,688 sq. ft.
Parcel Number 18-- -6,801 sq. ft.
Parcel Number 20 5,824 sq. ft.
Parcel Number 21 0 sq. ft.
Parcel Number 22 7.088 sq. ft. FEB - 2 2012
Total 24,401 sq. ft
DENR - WATER QUALITY
The impervious surfaces proposed in the new construction are: WETLANDS AND STORMWATER FANCH
Parking, drives, and dumpster pad -- -- - - -- 13,647 sq. ft.
Proposed building footprint 4,784 so. ft.
Total 18,431 sq, ft.
Thus the improvements reduce the impervious surfaces by 5,970 sq. ft. or by 24.4 %.
Thank you for the consideration of this information.
