SUBJECT PCN Form
Eastern Wayne Sanitary District
Contract No 148 —Water Line Relocations
NCDOT Project R2554 C
Wayne County NC
Dear Mr Wescott
Eastern Wayne Sanitary District plans to relocate a number of existing water lines as a result of
an NCDOT proposed highway bypass There is one instance where the proposed water line alignment
encroaches upon wooded wetlands The length that the proposed water lines encroach within the
wooded wetlands is 479 LF A corridor 20 LF in width will be required through the wooded wetlands
in order to construct the proposed water lines Therefore the total impact on the wooded wetlands as
a result of proposed water line construction will be approximately 9 580 square feet or 0 22 acres The
corridor will remain following construction to allow for maintenance operations related to the new
water lines The submission of a PCN form is required due to the fact that total wetland intrusion as a
part of subject project exceeds 0 1 acres
The following items are provided for your review and approval via NW 12
1 PCN form (5 copies)
2 Project Maps
a 8' /z x 11 aerial photograph w /site location (5 copies)
b 8'/i x 11 USGS Topo Extract illustrating site location (5 copies)
c 11 x 17 plan sheet number 8 of 29 illustrating area of wetland intrusion (5 copies)
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me
Sincerely
