Alignment — The existing alignment is constrained by the tie in to A Avenue on the north end and an ephemeral
channel and culvert dust west of and parallel to the proposed roadway The ephemeral channel drains the area
north of Boundary Street and runs into Town Creek Investigation of the isolated wetland revealed that the
wetland exists due to berm creation and fill areas deposited by past earthwork disturbance/ clearance/ building
demolition on this industrial site Even of the proposed roadway footprint does not directly impact the wetland it is
predicted that any immediately adjacent site disturbance would likely alter these fell areas and drain the wetland
Therefore to completely avoid the wetland the alignment would need to be shifted significantly west which would
make the alignment unfeasible for its northern tie in would place fill in the ephemeral channel and would require
relocating the culvert under boundary street
Wetland impact The wetland was reflected as a total take as the area of impact (0 17 acres) is equal to the total
area of the wetland as shown in the form To clarify we have added a total take description to Part C line 2h

I need more information regarding Avoidance and Minimization for the Klumac Road
relocation Could you please explain why the road couldn t be shifted slightly to the west in
order to avoid the wetland?
Also the wetland should be considered a total take Please update the impact tables to
reflect this
You can send me this information via email Let me know if you have any questions
