PH ON E. 119 249-3421 FAX. e e e e Mal ..o � w P. E. TOWN OF APEX CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE The following begins only after Construction Plans are approved and signed by appropriate Town staff. 1. Have a surveyor flag property lines, right of way limits, buffers, silt / tree protection areas, and flag the Q protection limits. 2. Through the Public Works Engineering Projects Coordinator at 249 -3357, schedule a pre- construction meeting with Public Works inspector(s) and other Town staff. 3. Install gravel construction entrance, temporary diversions, silt fencing, sediment basins, bypass channels, and /or LU other measures as shown on the approved plans. Clear only as necessary to install these devices. 4. Call Stan Fortier at 2494166 for an on -site inspection and approval of installed controls. 5. Begin clearing and grubbing of the site in accordance with the approved construction plan. 6. Maintain S &E measures as needed. 7. After completion of any waterline backfill, establish groundcover on graded slopes and fills within 14 calendar days. 8. Clean and remove sediment from temporary sediment holding devices. 9. Remove temporary diversions, silt / tree combo fencing, check dams, etc. and provide adequate cover or pave any resulting bare areas. All disturbed slopes shall be protected with appropriate slope protection such as rolled erosion control products (RECP). 10. When vegetation has been established, call Stan Fortier at 249 -1166 for final site inspection. SEEDBED PREPARATION 1. Chisel compacted areas and spread topsoil 3 inches deep over adverse soil conditions with stockpiled soil. Contractor shall reserve sufficient topsoil for seedbed preparation. 2. Rip the entire area to 6 inch depth. 3. Remove all loose rocks, roots, and other obstructions_ leaving surface reasonably smooth and uniform: 4. Apply agricultural lime, fertilizer, and super- phosphate uniformly and mix with soil (see below *). 5. Continue tillage until a well - pulverized, firm, reasonably uniform seedbed is prepared 4 to 6 inches deep. 6. Seed on a freshly prepared seedbed and cover seed lightly with seeding equipment or cultipack after seeding. 7. Mulch immediately after seeding and anchor mulch. 8. Inspect all seeded areas and make necessary repairs or reseedings within the planting season, if possible If stand is less than 60% established, the entire area shall be reseeded according to specifications using the Cc original lime, fertilizer and seeding rates. 9.
