The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has reviewed your additional information received November 28, 2011,
for the subject project. Susan Wilson, of the DWQ, also conducted a site inspection on December 6, 2011.
Based on the information submitted and the site visit, it does not appear that additional stabilization is necessary
at the site. Rip -rap fill is already in place and there appears to be minimal, if any, additional erosion along the
shoreline of the property. Therefore, the project application is being returned.
Should you wish to perform repairs to the existing rip rap — please contact Lisa Leatherman, Duke Energy —
Lake Services at (828) 369 -4513 and Robby Shelton, Jackson County Planning at (828) 631 -2256.
The original rip -rap fill was permitted for Robert and Mary Guerin (DWQ Project #05- 1698). A copy of that
permit is attached. Please keep this for your records.
