E.Shaver(a)usace.army.mi1; martin.korenek @usmc.mil; Lapp, Kevin Subject: RE: Dissipater pad Joanne, The dissipater pads vary in size based upon the diameter of the pipe. The pipe at wetland 5 is a 24 inch (2 ft) pipe. The pad will be trapezoidal in shape. 4 ft wide at the pipe widening out to 8 ft. The pad will extend out 8 ft from the pipe. Plan sheet CP523 depicts the shape of the pad. Total footprint is 64 sq. ft. or 0.001 acres. When added to the other permanent impacts at Impact #5 of 0.135 acres for a total of 0.136 acres it still rounds up to the 0.14 acres on the permit drawings. Hope that helps Ron Johnson Senior Biologist D 919.854.6210 Fax 919.854.6259 ron.iohnson(a)aecom.com AECOM 701 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 475 Raleigh, NC 27607 T 919 - 854 -6200 www.aecom.com ,,A Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail From: Steenhuis, Joanne [ mailto :joanne.steenhuis(a)ncdenr.gov] Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 4:23 PM To: Johnson, Ron Cc: Brad. E.Shaver(a)usace.army.mi1; martin.korenek @usmc.mil; Lapp, Kevin Subject: Dissapater pad Ron, I know this is a new question but on sheet Permit 105 the dissipater pad that is shown at the end of the pipe in wetland impact #5. What size is it? Could you please give me the dimensions of the pad so that I will know the size and that it will not go outside the impact limits. I will need this for my compliance check. And could you please recheck to make sure that, that amount is included in the permanent impact amounts for Impact #5. Thanks!
