Thanks for the update Ben,
I’ll keep the report you sent as part of the file for the permit schedule. We can set up a phone call as
phase II gets closer. I’ll probably be down to Columbus in December for an inspection.
Thanks again,

Hi Mikal:
Sorry I have been on the road and wasn't able to find this attached PDF. The existing ground
conditions on the opposite side of the A-Basin Wall were in such bad condition the Geotech
engineers could not set up their drill rig to get soil and drilling samples. So we are first having
to build an engineered roadway/drilling pad so they can get their drill rig in place to test
conditions on the soil side of the wall. This was an unforseen issue with the soil conditions.
We are waiting results of the Phase 1 analysis, and the Town will soon build the roadway /
drilling pads so that Phase 2 analysis can begin.
If needed I can give you a call to better explain where we are.
Thanks again,
Ben

Hi Ben,
I’m sorry I missed your call yesterday. We can most certainly set up a time to talk today
if you are available. I am teleworking most of the day so I should be near my phone.
Due to Covid, we have been allowing extensions due to coordination of contractors,
health concerns, etc.
Just let me know what time works best for you and I’ll make sure my I’m available.

Hi Mikal:
I hope you are doing well. I had left you a voicemail but wanted to follow up with
an email.
We are working with Town of Columbus on a few aspects of their WWTP. One
of the key aspects was a way to address the structural issues with the eastern wall
of their aeration basin. We have started the process of working with USDA-Rural
Development to help the Town fund a project to correct this issue and some other
items at the facility. While we have made progress with the project we have had
some logistical issues from covid-19 and difficulty traveling to the WWTP and
coordinating with different sub-consultants such as geotechnical and structural
firms that we will use to complete the planning, design, and construction. Because
of some of the unforeseen issues that have come about over the last several
months related to covid-19 we would like to request a small time extension on
behalf on The Town of Columbus. This will allow us to better meet the time-
frames for reports and alternative analysis for our planned solution to addressing
the structural wall issues at the Columbus WWTP.
If you have any availability I can call you at your office to discuss this project.
Thanks for your time and stay safe,
Ben
