Alli relevant infim-nation has been reviewed by Aquatic Toxicology Unit staff. The result of the April 11, 2012 test has been recorded with a result of >I 00%. To investigate the apparent difference in results obtained from the tests, we examined documentation concerning sampling, testing, and lab procedures. We recommend a bioassay cleaning procedure be performed after each use in order to remove any toxic constituents that may remain in the composite sampler tubing, or sample container. We have not determined that any of the labs involved violated any defined protocols. Each laboratory produced appropriate chain -of -custody and quality assurance documentation. Effluent water quality parameters measured at each laboratory were reasonably similar except for the above described conductivity differences. Under these circumstances, it has been our policy to accept the result which lies in favor of the discharging facility. A result of >I 00% has been, recorded for the April 11, 2012 toxicity test. You should also write "No Flow" on the AT form, sign the form and submit following normal procedures. ➢ The Aquatic Toxicity Test forms shall be signed by the facility's Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) except for facilities which have not received a facility classification. In these cases, a duly authorized facility representative must sign the AT form. The AT form must also be signed by the performing lab supervisor. ➢ To determine if your AT test forms were received on time by the Division of Water Quality, you may consider submitting your toxicity test results certified mail return receipt requested to the Environmental Sciences Section.
