The North Carolma Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposes to replace Bridge No 20 over
Ford Creek on SR 1705 in Granville County The replacement structure is a new 90 foot long 33 mch
box beam bridge that will span Ford Creek This pro�ect is bemg processed under the NCDOT Low
Impact Bridge Replacement Program
Br�dge No 20 is located m the Tar Pamlico R�ver Basm and drams to the Tar River Ford Creek at this
location (8 digit HUC Code 03020101) has a DWQ Classification of C NSW (Stream Index Number
28 14) The USACE does not require mitigation far this proJect However the NCDENR DWQ requires
r�parian buffer mitigation for 958 square feet of riparian buffer impacts m Zone 1 and 356 square feet of
riparian buffer impacts ►n Zone 2 Note that these are the actual pro�ect �mpacts and do not reflect the
multiplier of 3 m Zone 1 and 1 5 m Zone 2 I have attached the riparian buffer permit drawmg that
depicts these impacts
