STREET (STATE ROAD 1920) IN HENRIETTA TO MELTON STREET (S R
1941) IN CAROLEEN

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the
above Citizens Informational Workshop on Thursday December 8 2011
between the hours of 4 p m and 7 p m in Forrest Hunt Elementary School
Cafeteria located at 100 Forrest W Hunt Drive Forest City
Interested individuals may attend this �nformal workshop any time during
the between 4 p m and 7 p m NCDOT representatives will display maps and be
available to answer questions and receive comments Please note that there wiil
not be a formal presentation
NCDOT proposes to transportation improvements to US 221 ALT from
Main Street (S R 1920) in Henrietta to Melton Street (S R 1941) in Caroleen
The primary purpose of the pro�ect is to improve the alignment and maintenance
cond�t�ons of US 221A between Avondale and Caroleen Other beneficial
outcomes could inciude an improvement in the safety of the roadway as well as
a more efficient flow of traffic The pro�ect is about 1 0 mile long Additional right
of way and the relocation homes and businesses may be required for
construction
