Dave Wanucha Please give a brief project description below.* The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has proposed to replace Guilford County Bridge No. 25 on East Steeple Chase Road (SR 1105)over Polecat Creek.The existing structure has undergone numerous repairs and inspections at which the final recommendation is to replace the structure in its entirety due to critical scouring.The existing structure consists of a 71'steel deck on I-Beams with vertical timber abutments.There are two existing spans(1@35'5" and 1@35'9")with timber caps and piles for interior bents/abutments.The proposed structure shall consist of a 3-span structure(1@45', 1@50'and 1@45')cored slab with 4'caps.The proposed structure has been designed to minimize as little environmental impacts to wetlands,surface waters and existing habitat as possible with 2:1 roadway fill slopes.
