The Municipal Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the Industrial User Pretreatment Permit
(IUP) submitted for renewal by the Town of Siler City for the following Significant Industrial User (SIU). The
IUP was received by the Division on December 14, 2020.

004 Mountaire Farms, Inc.
The review indicates that the IUP is adequate and meets the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 211 .0905,
.0916, and .0917 and 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(111). Additional supporting documentation is needed for the Division's
record, please submit the following information for the SIU by February 19, 2021:
A copy of the SIU application;
A copy of the City's inspection of the SIU;
And, an updated allocation table.
Federal and State pretreatment regulations require the local delegated pretreatment program to effectively control
and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant/Categorical Industrial Users to the POTW. It is the
POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are consistently met.
